Review Regularly to Remember

Simply put this means discipline and scheduling!

The average person can focus on studies well for 30 to 40 minutes. Added to the fact that the more often you review the better you remember, this means that if you want to remember what you study read it is a good plan to schedule and use a regular review plan.

  • After your 30-40 minute study session review the main points for 3 minutes
  • Review again for 3 minutes a half hour later or after your next study session do both sessions
  • The next day review the main points for 3 minutes
  • A week later review the main points for 3 minutes
  • A month later review the main points for 3 minutes
  • Two months after review the main points for 3 minutes

Reviewing these main points helps you:

  • Identify the critical knowledge to be memorized
  • Creates frequent interaction with the knowledge that improves retention
  • Requires organization of your study notes
